Here are the steps:\n- Install Heroic games launcher\n- Login to your Epic Games account and install The Escapists 2\n- Install any Wine/Proton and try to open the game\n- The game won't open and sometimes Wine crashes\n\n When I open the launcher through the terminal and try to open the game then, Wine throws an error.\n\n I just can't get it to launch no matter what version of Wine/Proton I use. I have The Escapists 2 purchased through Epic Games and I've been trying to play it on Linux with Heroic games launcher. I would very much appreciate any help and I hope I am not asking too much! Thanks in advance!\n So what I want:\n1) Install the emulator (I think I will be able to handle that on my own)\n2) set it up for auto run with immediate full screen\n3) A distro recommendation, either a very lightweight one or one that contains NKPII Kai and its repositories\n\n ![]() However, I had been regularly using it for some retro gaming and right now I would like to emulate the experience of using my PC-98 since I am unable to afford buying a new machine or repairing it for now.\n\nįor that, I would need to install Neko Project II Kai from this GitHub:\n \nOtherwise, if you know a distro, where it is in the repositories, I would be very grateful.\nAfter installation, I would only need to DE anymore to set up the emulator and to copy files to my virtual hard disk image.\n\n I am enthusiast of retro computers and recently, my NEC PC-9801 has completely given up the ghost. ![]() My daily driver is and has almost always been Solus.\n\n I have been using Linux for the last three or four years, but I am in no way advanced in it, and I am mostly using the GUI for all my needs so I need some help with this.
